As always in the Boarding House, it has been another busy fortnight with a lot of buzz and activity happening around the place!

At last week’s community dinner, Madi Williams took out our Boarder of the Fortnight award. Madi, who is in Year 11 is a role model for the younger girls to look up to, she is involved in netball and plays for the Giants club. Madi has also recently started a part time job at the Alice Springs Bakery every Saturday morning. Well done Madi!

Ernest Pareroultja took out our Academic of the Fortnight award. Ernest has been focusing hard on his online Maths Space during prep time in the library and is not afraid to ask for help. He also loves his reading, with superhero books being his favourite to read. Well done Ernest!

Lynesha Mulder took out the Cleanest Room award in Heaslip House and Bradley Murichi took out the Cleanest Room award in McKechnie House!

Last weekend the boarders enjoyed a trip to the Dustbowl for some games of Ten-Pin Bowling. Raphael McNamara was the King Pin with a top score of 124. Overall, it was a fantastic evening enjoyed by all!

All the boarders are involved in the Boarding House AFL competition, where they pick their winning teams each weekend. Lachlan Blue and Shanille Braybon are leading the pack after two rounds on 9 points each.

The other night was Tribe Night in the Boarding House and Stevenson Tribe were triumphant over Wilson Tribe in a modified version of volleyball, 3 games to 1 in a best of 5 series. Both tribes are now tied on 45 points each as we have one more Tribe Night left this term!

The local netball competition kicked off last week with several of our girls playing for the mighty Giants club. Madi Williams made her senior debut on Thursday night and had a great game! Ronniesha Tanami played a great game as well in the U13 side and Jessica France and Lynesha Mulder both starred in the U15 side on Saturday morning. Well done girls!
