End of Term Wrap-Up
As we approach the Easter break, I want to take a moment to reflect on what has been a fantastic and rewarding term for our school community. Our values of Resilience, Compassion, Success, and Citizenship have been on full display, and I am incredibly proud of the achievements of our students and staff.
One of the recent highlights of this term was the successful variation of the school day, which allowed for increased attendance at Parent-Teacher Interviews. It was fantastic to see so many families engaging in these valuable conversations about student progress and goals. Thank you to all who participated and contributed to fostering a strong home-school partnership.
Next term, we have an exciting opportunity for four of our Year 9 students, Sebastian Langworthy Elijah Amos, Joseph Simpson & Phoebe Englefield, who will be attending the Alpine Leadership School. This experience will challenge them to step outside their comfort zones, develop their leadership skills, and build resilience. We look forward to hearing about their journey and the lessons they bring back to share with our community.
Today, we wrapped up the term with a fantastic celebration. The House Cross Country event saw incredible participation and enthusiasm, followed by our much-anticipated Walkathon and Colour Run. The day concluded with our Easter Raffle, which brought smiles to many faces. These events highlight the strength of our school spirit and the importance of coming together as a community.
In preparation for our Grade 6 into Year 7 Open Night on May 7th, our students have been actively visiting local primary schools, welcoming future students, and showcasing what makes our school special. Their involvement exemplifies the value of Citizenship and our commitment to making the transition to secondary school a positive experience for all.
A reminder to our Year 11 and 12 students attending the Tertiary Trip in the first week back: this is a fantastic opportunity to explore future pathways and gain valuable insights into life beyond school. We encourage you to make the most of this experience.
As we head into the Easter holidays, I want to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable break. Thank you to our students, staff, and families for a great term. Your dedication and support make our school community truly special.
Enjoy the well-earned rest, and I look forward to another successful term ahead!
