Foundation News 

Thank you to all our families for supporting the school fete. We loved seeing our Foundation students smiling and having fun performing ‘I like it loud’. We certainly hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! 

Specialists 

Sport times for Foundation will be each Wednesday and Friday. They can wear their sports uniform on these days.  

Italian – The students will now have Italian lessons (L.O.T.E) on a Wednesday and will also borrow books from the library. They will use their blue folders for this. The school has a wonderful range of picture stories for them to enjoy at home.  

Home Reading and check in days 

Thank you for taking the time to read to your child at home and jotting this down in your child’s reading diary. Just a reminder about ‘Check In Days’. It is helpful if your child is at school ten-fifteen minutes before the bell on their Check In day, for the teachers to have time to sit with them before the school bell. (On the front of the clear folder you will see a sticker indicating your child’s check in day.)   

Could you please ensure the keyring is kept in the students' clear reading folder for us to add a new letter when necessary. 

The students have now learnt the letters; s,m,t and a.  

Mathematics   

We are so proud of how well the students are counting. We have been practicing counting forwards and backwards, comparing collections and adding more to a collection. We also continue to recognise and practice writing numbers.  

Dates to add to your calendar 

Teddy Bears Picnic – 27th of March – On this day the students bring their favourite teddy to school which we will take on a picnic to Mivo Park. Information was sent home regarding this on PAM.
