Harmony Week: Monday 17th to Sunday 23rd March
Harmony Day is celebrated on March 21 every year in Australia. It is a time to celebrate and reflect upon our country’s diversity. Harmony Day celebrations at school this week have seen students participating in a Harmony Day lesson, wearing orange as the symbol of social communication, freedom and respect, as well as inviting students and families to celebrate their culture or origins in video and visual mediums across the school.
If you haven’t already, please put a pin in our school world map (in the entranceway foyer) indicating where your family’s story began. You may be an Indigenous Australian, been born in Australia, moved when young or listened to stories of family members who moved to Australia generations ago. Our country is a multicultural nation sharing values of respect, equality and freedom. These are part of what makes Australia a great place to live.
