Principal's Message

NAPLAN - A job well done!

Congratulations to all our Year 3 and Year 5 students for completing their 2025 NAPLAN Tests. It was a delight to watch you all tackle these tricky assessments with such confidence and a 'can do attitude'. We know your results will make us just as proud!

What an extraordinary display of leadership!

On Thursday afternoon a group of Year 6 leaders facilitated our Harmony Day activity session across the school. The session included a Harmony Day information video, a video that celebrated the beautiful cultures of students at our school and a Harmony Day balloon colouring activity that will be displayed on Harmony Day. Feedback from classroom teachers was that these leaders were not only well prepared but confident and excited to share their knowledge with their peers.

Looking ahead...

Next week, we look forward to welcoming families in for their PSG meetings. We are excited to celebrate the successes of these students and develop goals to continue their growth.

The Foundation students and teachers are gearing up for their Teddy Bears Picnic toward the end of term.

ANZAC Day 2025

As ANZAC Day falls on the first Friday of Term 2, Week 1 and our students are still on holidays, we are sharing as much information as we can with you now.

Leading up to ANZAC Day, we will be selling merchandise to help raise money for returned veterans and their families. On offer are a selection of pins/badges, pens and wrist bands ranging in price from $1-$5. If you would like to support this cause, our Catholic Identity Team leaders will be selling items before school in the last two weeks of Term 1 (Week 9 & 10). This is because the students will still be on holidays in the week leading up to ANZAC Day.

Please read the notice in the 'News Feed' section of the newsletter for further details regarding ANZAC Day services.

If you have any questions, please email Mrs Natale at carmelnatale@sjcobram.catholic.edu.au

As always, we hope to be well represented by our school community, including students, families and staff.
