Principal's Desk

Dear Parents,

Welcome back, everyone! I hope you had a great break and found some time to relax, have fun, and maybe even sleep in a little.  It has been a slow start to the term with the ANZAC Day long weekend, but it is straight back into it now!

It is so exciting to see everyone’s smiling faces again and to kick off another awesome term together. There’s lots of fun and learning ahead. Please find below a few notices for the beginning of the term.

Hoodies Up Day

Today we celebrated ‘Hoodies Up Day’.  The theme for 2025 is ‘My Positive Autistic Identity’ and it is all about celebrating the strength, uniqueness, and pride of being Autistic. Some Autistic people may sometimes experience sensory overload by the environment around them. Wearing a hoodie is an easy self-regulation tool to reduce sensory input and support feeling calm.

District Sports

This Wednesday, 30th April, a large number of our students will compete in the District Athletics Competition at Knox Athletics track.  We wish all our competitors the best of luck.  Holy Trinity is so proud of you!!

For those students who are attending Athletics throughout the day, please ensure that you sign your child out at the front office prior to collection from the classroom. Please read the notice on SIMON for further details.'

Cross Country will be held on Wednesday, May 7th for all students in Prep-6.  The students will be running onsite at Holy Trinity, beginning with the 5/6’s. 10am -11am - Prep -2

12pm - 1pm - (9/10s ) Mostly Gr 3/4's (Those who are bottom age Grade 3 (only 8) will then run.

First Eucharist

A reminder that First Eucharist is this Saturday at 2pm.  Please remember to allow enough  time for parking due to building works at St Jude’s along with the school being a designated polling booth.

Mothers Day - Celebrating our Mums!!

You’re Invited – Mother’s Day Morning Tea!

We would love to invite all our wonderful mums and special women to join us for a Mother’s Day Morning Tea on Monday 12 May @ 9.15am. It’s a small way for us to celebrate and say thank you for everything you do!  This will be followed by an opportunity to visit classrooms and to see how we do things here at Holy Trinity, as well as be entertained by the students.

If Mum isn’t able to attend, another special woman in your child’s life — a grandma, aunty, or family friend — is warmly welcome to come along instead.

We are asking in order to help us cover the cost of catering and ensure we can make the morning extra special, for a small contribution of $5 per family. Please see the information below to see how you can pay.  If this amount is prohibitive, please let us know, we want all families to be able to attend. An activity form will be sent out shortly via SIMON to gather numbers for the morning.

We’re really looking forward to sharing this lovely morning with you.

Mother’s Day Prayer Service

On the afternoon of Wednesday 7th May @ 2.45pm we will also be gathering to celebrate our mums with a short prayer service. Please join us to pray for our mums and other significant women and to give thanks to God for all they do for us.

Meet the Principal

Steve Evans will begin at Holy Trinity next Monday.  I am sure you will join me in welcoming Steve to this wonderful community.  Steve is very excited to be starting as principal next week and has asked me to share some information with you.

Anaphylaxis

Just a reminder, out of respect for the children in our community who are anaphylactic to nuts, to try to ensure children do not bring nut products to school. This includes nut butters, muesli bars with nuts etc.  While we are not a ‘no nut’ school, we do want to try to minimise risk for these students at all times and encourage students to eat foods other than nuts and nut products.

Music Bus

For those students who are participating in lessons with The Music Bus, please note that lesson times are moving to a Wednesday afternoon from 2.30pm.

Our school closure day this term will be held on Monday 23 June.  There will be no classes for students on this day.
