Year Four and Personal Development

‘Every person is unique, worthy of respect and love, created in the image and likeness of God. Our body is a gift of God.’

‘Our body is a gift of God, ‘God’s temple’ (1 Cor 3:16) to be treated with respect. It is our responsibility to be faithful to ourselves, others and God in all areas of our life. Each individual is created in the image and likeness of God.

Across the three Year Four classrooms, the doors have been closed and the questions have been thought-provoking as we delve into the unit of work on our reproductive systems in personal development under the framework of Catholic tradition.

 As we are created in the image and likeness of God, all aspects of who we are in its essence is good. 

•  Change and growth is a part of who we are. 
•  The way people cope with change affects our health and wellbeing. 
•  We have a responsibility to make wise decisions about our body and our relationships. 

The children have been sensible and respectful in the content under the rules set up so everyone feels safe.
