Year 2

It has been a great couple of weeks in Year 2.  

In Visual Art, students were very excited to begin their Christmas artwork. Students used oil pastel and water colour to create cranky turkeys! 

In Maths, students have been exploring volume and 3D objects. We have had lots of fun creating 3D objects using modelling clay and comparing the capacity of different containers.

In Week 6, Year 2 had a Religion retreat day in Kenna Hall. As a grade, we explored forgiveness and learnt about Reconciliation. In class, we have been learning about the Parable of the Lost Sheep. At the end of our retreat, students had lots of fun making their own sheep with cotton wool.
