Chess Competition

Over 100 students competed, with the top 4 scores from each school being tallied for the school result. Our 6 boys - Anthony, Leo, Marcus, Harvey, Daniel and Cameron, did STFX proud, showing great sportsman ship and earning 8th place overall!

Karate -Champion Khloe Pham

Hope you are well, I have a free good news to share with the school.

This year so far, Khloe Pham competed in recent karate tournaments at state and national levels. She started karate with dad when she was 4 years old.

In late February, she competed at the NSW All-Style Karate Championship and won a Silver Medal in the U/12 weigh division of +45kg.

The following month in March, she went to the NSW State Karate Championship and collected the Gold medal for her U/12 weigh division of +45kg.

Finally this weekend, she entered into the Australian Open Karate Championship which is an international karate tournament that included 6 nations and over 900 competitors over 3 days. Khloe fought bravely in her usual division against other very high standard students, and went on into the 2nd round, but narrowly lost and missed the bronze medal for her state and Australia.

Krystal Pham her sister also on the weekend won GOLD in the U/15 division for state and Australia and will be heading to New Caledonia in June 2025 for Oceania Karate Championship with the official Australian Team for a chance to compete at the Junior World Title later this year.

Level 1 Gymnastics Gala Competition. He places 1st on all of his apparatus!
