Hello everyone, 

Here is the newsletter for week eight of term one.

Flags and flag poles

Is anyone able to help us to install a fourth flagpole?

At Taradale we currently have three flag poles. 

• The official pole on the High St side of the school
• The Metcalfe PS pole next to the 4/5 classroom
• The pole on the Lyell St side of the school provided to us by the Chillout Festival

For a number of years we have flown the Aboriginal flag, the Torres St Is. flag and the rainbow flag. 

Recently a person not associated with the school queried why we didn't fly an Australian flag, I was subsequently advised by the DoE that as the school has more than one flag pole we are required to fly the Australian flag and could remove the Torres St Is flag to do this. So currently we are flying the Australian, Aboriginal and rainbow flags. 

We have an additional flag pole that I would like to instal on the Lyell St side of the school, but don't have the equipment to do so. If anyone has the equipment and can help it would be much appreciated.

• Friday 28 April yrs 2-6 to netball/football excursion
• Friday 04 April end of term one 2.00pm
• Tuesday 22 April start of term 2
