Adventure Ahoy! 

Scouting Open Day will be held on Sunday 4 May from 10.00am to 2.00pm at 1st Derwent Sea Scouts, 5 Marieville Esplanade, Sandy Bay.

Sea Scouts opens up a world of exploration, water adventures, expeditions and a global community of 50 million Scouts worldwide.

For children aged 5-18 years and runs one evening a week during term time.

Hop into Easter fun at Hobart’s largest Easter Egg Hunt!

Are you looking for a fun and festive way to celebrate Easter with the family? 

Join the Royal Hobart Hospital Research Foundation for their much-loved Easter Egg Hunt on Good Friday, where kids can follow fun clues around the lawns of Government House to find their very own bag of Easter eggs! This exciting event is a wonderful way for families to come together, enjoy the fresh air and kick off the long weekend with some Easter magic.

Kingborough April School Holiday Program

School holidays are almost upon is and Kingborough Council will be offering a range of workshops and day trips for young people to enjoy.  Activities are suitable for young people aged 12-19 who reside in Kingborough.  For excursions, a bus service is available to pick-up and drop-off residents in Kingston, Blackmans Bay, Margate, Snug and Woodbridge.  Workshops are held at the Kingborough Community Hub.

Cinema and BBQ: Wednesday 16 April, 9am - 3pm | $15

Watch a new release movie at Village Cinemas! Then go to Tolosa Street Park for a BBQ where there will also be live music, skateboarding, spray painting and other activities to enjoy. Bus provided. 

 

Handmade candles: Thursday 17 April, 1pm - 3pm | $15

Get creative and make your own candle and wax melt to take home. All materials provided. Held at the Kingborough Community Hub. Ages 13+

 

Golf range and Rock IT Climbing Centre: Wednesday 23 April, 9.30am - 3pm | $35

Try out the Cambridge Golf Park, which includes a bucket of 100 balls for the golf range and 9-holes on the mini golf course! Then head to Rock-It Climbing Centre for a fun climbing session. Bus provided. 

 

Magic tricks revealed: Thursday 24 April, 10am - 12pm | $20

Learn 8 awesome magic tricks in this fun workshop with magician, Patrick Spencer. Impress your friends and family with your new skills! Held at the Kingborough Community Hub.
