Student Achievements

Congratulations!
Willow (Year 7) has had a HUGE couple of weeks! She has been in Perth at the Australian Junior National Athletics Championships where she won GOLD in the U14 Hammer Throw. Willow also competed in the U14 Discus, Shot Put and Javelin events. With only a couple of days back home, Willow is heading back to Perth to represent Tasmania in the Australian Youth Water Polo Championships.
Breeze Downey (Year 7) was also in Perth at the Australian Junior Athletics Championships competing in the U14 High Jump and Long Jump.
At the end of April, Willow and Breeze will both be travelling to Adelaide to participate in the Australian Little Athletics Championships, representing Tasmania. What an incredible experience for these two young athletes!
Amelia Sing (Year 10) will also be travelling to Perth to compete at the Australian Youth Water Polo Championships. Congratulations Amelia!
The next generation of Devils stars have been named, including Addison Broadbent (Year 10). The squad will compete in the 2025 Marsh AFL National Development Championships U16 Girls next week in New South Wales, taking on the Sydney Swans Academy and the GWS Giants Academy. Good luck Addison!
A Chorus Line
Venus Creative is set to present 'A Chorus Line: Teen Edition' at Hobart's Playhouse Theatre on April 26 and 27, 2025. This adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical offers family audiences a glimpse into the aspirations of Broadway performers. Mount Carmel College students Isabella Bomford (Year 8), Mia Cairns, and Isobel Denby (both Year 9) along with alumni Chloe Marsden (Class of 2024) are among the talented cast bringing this production to life.
