Junior School

Our TC Community

Each day we are reminded of how grateful we are to be a part of the Trinity College Community. At TC, we see the Gospel values of love, compassion, peace, forgiveness and justice being lived within our school grounds. As a school, we strive to continue to find ways for boys to become connected to the broader community and understand the responsibility we all have to the common good of wider society.

One way in which we can actively live this this is through engaging in the numerous fundraisers or service-learning opportunities throughout the year. Currently, there are a lot of ways in which boys and families in the Junior School can assist others through giving. We thank you for your compassion, empathy and support.

Project Compassion

Project Compassion, run by Caritas Australia, raises much needed funds to support people living in poverty around the world. Your son would have brought home his Project Compassion box last week. We ask all boys to give generously where they can.

Fair Game Sports

Fair Game Sports is an Australian charity dedicated to promoting health, social inclusion, and sustainability through sport. It collects and redistributes recycled sports equipment to children in remote and disadvantaged communities, ensuring they have access to the resources needed for an active lifestyle. Used sports equipment can be donated through the blue bin in the Junior School office.

The items we are looking at having in the bins are:

  • AFL footballs, soccer balls, basketballs

  • Footy boots / Runners/sneakers

  • Soccer shin pads

  • Large sports bags in good condition (e.g. cricket bags, hockey sticks

  • Smaller backpacks, in good condition only

  • Unused drink bottles

Easter Raffle

Traditionally, our Easter Raffle prizes have been donated by our Year 4 parents and families. We ask for all donations to be dropped into the donation box in the Year 4 classrooms by Thursday 3 April.

The Easter raffle tickets will be on sale each recess on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday in weeks 10 and 11. Tickets will be $2 each or five for $3. Proceeds from our Easter Raffle will be donated to Project Compassion.

ySafe parent presentation

Protecting children in their digital worlds is an ever-evolving task for Australian families. Now more than ever, parents are looking for guidance in managing screen time and navigating the world of games and social media. We are therefore pleased to help our parent community by offering a crucial and engaging education session with ySafe, Australia’s leading provider of online safety education.

This live webinar will cover the most important points all families need to know about online safety. It will include key information about social media and gaming, screen time recommendations, and step-by-step instructions on how to set up a cyber safe home for children of all ages.

God Bless,
