 I Sea I Care Excursion

On the 13 August the Sustainably Team went off to another excursion! We went to Elster Creek as part of an “I sea I care” excursion. We did a lot of things such as testing the water quality of the creek and checking for insects that were able to tolerate the water quality. We had an amazing time and can’t wait for our last sustainability excursion!

Did you know that 78% of marine life are at risk choking on plastic? That really puts things into perspective. You may have thought that plastic and climate change are bad, but with statistics like that you can realise how serious this is.

Some fun and easy things to do your bit for the environment include:

try to turn off the light when you leave the room to save energy

pick up trash, but make it a game to see who can pick up the most

walk to school more often (if you are close)

participate in the 10c program for some pocket money

make some craft (wind chimes, water collectors, piggy banks) out of clean rubbish.

Just remember that there is no planet B to go to so we better start looking after this one!
