ICAS
Dear Parents and Guardians,
This year, students in Grades 2-6 will have the opportunity to participate in the ICAS competition.
ICAS is an online academic competition that gives students the opportunity to challenge their higher order thinking and problem-solving skills in Mathematics and Writing. Assessments are sat in test conditions at the school and, as such, teachers are unable to help students with their work or the questions. All students will be supervised during their test.
ICAS results are in-depth and meaningful, and ICAS evaluates student performance against other competition entrants across the state and nation. The data reveals student strengths and weaknesses and can help you recognise and support your child's academic journey.
Mathematics assessments begin in Grade Two and Writing assessments for ICAS begin in Grade Three.
Please read through the attached information if you are interested in your child participating in the competition.
