Senior Netball

Huge congratulations to our senior netball teams!! Last Friday, both girls and open A teams played in the divisional finals after winning the District Gala days. They played outstandingly and showed great sportsmanship on the day. As a result, both teams progressed through to Regional Finals and will play on the 14th August. We wish them the best of luck; they should all be very proud of their achievements getting this far!

Senior House Athletics Carnival

Our Senior house athletics carnival is coming up on August 6th at Yarra Ranges Athletics Track. Thankyou to all the families who have shown support and offered to help on the day, we greatly appreciate it! We still require some extra assistance so if you are free and able to come along and help out, please send an email to Jayne.beith@education.vic.gov.au or jarrod.butcher@education.vic.gov.au

We look forward to a fun and successful day with the senior students!

BOOK WEEK DRESS UP DAY

It's that time of year again when we celebrate all things books! During this term and particularly during Book Week we enjoy celebrating new books by Australian authors and illustrators. The CBCA Book Week theme for 2024 is “Reading is Magic”.

On Monday 19th of August, we would love all students to come dressed up as their favourite book character OR dressed in something that goes with this year's theme “Reading is Magic”. We highly encourage families to be sustainable (both on the environment and budgets) and reuse/repurpose outfits. Op Shops and DIY outfits are greatly encouraged. Coming along with a copy of the book and/or character is always handy too. There is no cost for the day, and we look forward to seeing students and staff dressed up.

Performing Arts

This week has been an exciting week in Performing Arts. We have had auditions for Stagestruck, our annual variety concert with an exceptional number of students sharing their large array of talents. Our choir performed at the Kodaly Choral Festival at Carey Baptist Grammar school this week, performing with pride and musical excellence along with professional pianist James Boon. An excellent preparation for our performance next week at the Victorian School Music Festival!

Sick Bay

We have had several cases of Influenza A present in the school.  Please ensure you keep unwell children home until at least 24-48 hours after a fever or vomiting or until they are well in general.
