Junior School
Regional School Sport Soccer Championships Final
Last Friday, 26 July, our talented Junior School soccer players competed in the School Sport WA Regional Soccer Cup.
During the group stages, our team showcased exceptional skill and teamwork, winning all five matches with an impressive total of 48 goals scored and only 1 goal conceded. Their dominant performance earned them a spot in the final.
In the final, despite controlling much of the game and having most of the possession, our team faced a well-organised defence from their opponents. The match was ultimately decided by a penalty shootout, a tough and unpredictable way to conclude the game. Unfortunately, our team did not secure the win in the shootout.
Nonetheless, our players represented the College with great dedication and sportsmanship. Their outstanding performance throughout the tournament has earned them a place in the State finals, which will be held at a later date.
Special thanks to Mr Luke Thompson for coaching the boys.
Year 4 Soccer Carnival
Yesterday, our Year 4 boys showcased their soccer skills at our Soccer Carnival against Aquinas. Hosted by Trinity at Waterford Playing Grounds, the event was a great opportunity for the boys to put their new skills and training into action. Despite the rainy weather, they performed exceptionally well and had a fantastic time.
We would also like to extend a special thank you to the parent volunteers who helped organise the teams and ensured that the games were fair and enjoyable for everyone. Your support is greatly appreciated!

Year 5 Chickens
There has been a buzz of excitement in the Junior School as Year 5 students welcomed eight new feathered friends this week! As part of their Religious Education theme on New Life, the boys had the incredible opportunity to witness the hatching of these adorable chicks. Each day, the students eagerly checked in on their growing chicks, learning valuable lessons about life and growth. A big thank you to Mr. Maxfield for making this hands-on and enriching experience possible for our students!
Homework Club Update - Device Free
At our Junior School Homework Club, we’re now focusing on a screen-free environment to foster creativity and concentration. Students can complete their paper-based homework and enjoy activities like reading, drawing, or playing quiet games. This approach encourages a balanced, distraction-free experience that enhances learning and relaxation. Let's make the most of this opportunity for thoughtful engagement and creative exploration!
