Senior School Report
Welcome back to Semester 2
As we settled back into Semester 2, we reflected on what an action-packed start to the term it has been. Students in the Senior School have been busy right from the beginning of term.
Year 10 Work Experience Week
Over the past few weeks our Year 10 students have embarked on week of work experience. This experience has provided them with the opportunity to immerse themselves in various professional environments, gaining firsthand insights and practical skills. From shadowing industry experts to participating in real-world tasks, students have made the most of their placements. We hope this experience have created new interests and clarified future career paths.
Subject Selection for 2025
Following on from work experience, students in Years 9, 10, and 11 have made decisions regarding their subject selections for 2025. We appreciate the consideration and planning that went into choosing subjects that align with the interests and future pathway aspirations of our 2025 Senior School students. In the lead up to Subject Selection our Senior School Information Evening and one-on-one Career Action Plan consultations provided valuable support for students to make informed decisions about subject and career pathways. Thank you to all the parents / guardians and older siblings who also joined us to be involved in the subject selection process.
Year 12 Formal
The Year 12 Formal, held at Cathies Lane Receptions, was a tremendous success. The evening was filled with joy, laughter, and celebration as students and staff from both the Acacia and Banksia campuses came together as one college for a fantastic evening. The effort put into preparations by all involved contributed to a fantastic evening. A heartfelt thank you to everyone from the Formal Committee along with the teachers who helped make this event a standout success.
Year 12 Students – The Final Stretch
Lastly, our Year 12 students approached the final stages of their studies as we look forward towards the end of Term 3. We remind our Year 12’s to rise to the challenge ahead with focus and determination throughout the last round of SACs and assessment tasks. This critical period requires effort and commitment from students undertaking both the VCE and VCE-Vocational Major certificates. We wish them the very best as they enter the final stretch of their academic journey at Keysborough College.
We have had a busy and eventful start to the semester, and we look forward to building on this momentum as we continue through the rest of the year.
