News from our library leaders
What a wonderful time we have had so far. Being a library leader is so fun. We have helped with the National Simultaneous Storytime, organizing books, the Book Fair and there is still more to come. We are approaching book week and the judges are going to pick the ‘winners’ from the short list books. There are 6 book titles in each of the 6 book categories. The winning author will win a prize for their book. Nadia F
Hi my name is Sydney and I’m a year 6 library leader. As you may know, Book Week is coming up, so make sure that you knock the socks off everyone with your bedazzling outfits as you get to choose a costume from a character of ANY book! So, remember on the 23rd of August, be ready to dress up as fairies, goblins, wizards and witches and show off your costume! Moreover when you walk into the library you will find a section of short list books which have been chosen by publishers.
I cannot tell you all the amazing books I’ve read from that section. There are novels, picture books, you name it. However my recommendation will definitely be “Can you teach a fish to climb a tree?”. It’s humorous, has great pictures and is a lot of fun.
The team will share more exciting news about ‘Book Week’ in our next newsletters to follow.
