Prep - During Week 2, our Prep students have been excitedly learning the art of weaving and creating a special Australia-themed Olympics piece. The following week they will get the opportunity to choose their own colours and further master the skill of weaving.
Year 1/2 - Students, along with the Preps, learned the process of weaving using paper. After gaining confidence, they advanced to cutting their own lines in various shapes like straight, curvy, and zigzag. The students also chose their own colours to personalise their pieces.
Year 3 - Students have been mastering the basics of sewing, including tying knots, threading needles, and stitching. They practised these skills on a piece of calico, preparing them for our upcoming project.
Year 4 - Students have been diligently creating special pieces for their Eucharist. They've put in a lot of effort, and we look forward to sharing their work with families at the Eucharist on Saturday.
Year 5/6 - Our senior students have eagerly started working with clay in preparation for using our new kiln. They've learned the three techniques of working with clay and explored its various stages. In recent weeks, they've faced fun challenges like blindfolded sculpting and creating pieces inspired by artist Henry Moore. We're excited to see their creations come to life in the kiln in the coming weeks!
