Community Group
Welcome to a new school year! It was fantastic seeing so many families at the information nights in week one.
Our first meeting of the year was last Tuesday night, it was wonderful to see everyone back and some new faces come along.
As David mentioned on PAM, we chatted about getting some dates out shortly for ‘sunset’ groups- events with an end. These will be subcommittees, where you may wish to help out with that particular event. These events include things like: Mother’s Day stall, Bunnings sausage sizzle and Easter raffle etc. Please keep and eye out for more information on upcoming events that you may be interested in helping with.
First day brunch:
It was absolutely wonderful to meet some new families, and catch up with familiar faces at first day back brunch. Brunch was held at Noble Monks with over 20 people in attendance. Keep an eye out for more social events, or let us know if you have ideas for a catch up.
Sandpit equipment:
It’s been very exciting to hear about how well the new sandpit equipment has been received by children. Community Group has some funds allocated to purchasing a sand kitchen in the near future to add to the sandpit.
Lego kits:
Some kits have arrived and more will be ordered to add to Lego therapy. Teachers and children are very appreciative of the new kits, they will be used during facilitated Lego therapy sessions.
Sensory Garden:
The trivia night last year was to help raise funds for a sensory garden project. Donna Allen has a small subcommittee put together to design and create the new garden. Updates of the sensory garden will be posted throughout the year.
Shrove Tuesday:
A HUGE thank you to those who were able to come along and cook and serve on Tuesday. Around 450 pancakes were made, 40 shakers shaken and lots of happy children!
Second Hand Uniform:
Michelle is looking for extra helpers to join her team to help with the second hand uniform shop. If you’re interested, contact Michelle: 0422 074 774
Foundation catch up:
Easter Raffle: 🐣🪺⛪️
Easter is not too far away! In the coming weeks raffle tickets will come home and we’ll asking for a small donation of Easter goodies (if you are in a position to contribute). Please only send in Easter eggs when the call out is made so we can safely store them!
