Minasan Konnichiwa! (Hello everyone.)

Welcome to Week 10!

 

Year 3-6

Year 3-6 students have been learning about "Sports". They learnt words such as football, netball, basketball, swimming, horse riding, running, athletics etc. Students wrote them in Japanese and practiced indicating likes and dislikes.

They also learnt about the unique Japanese "Gacha Gacha" or "Gacha Pon". Please ask your children about it.

After reading one of the folk stories "Warashibe- the Straw Millionaire", Year 3-6 students made storyboards and some students wrote their own story. Here is Grace Eddy's work.

 

 

Year 1/2

Year 1/2 students have been learning about "Pets". They practiced some animal words, how to say "I have/don't have pets." and describing cute animals. They also practiced "Days of the week" in Japanese.

Foundation

Foundation students continued to practice lots of words that they have learnt this year such as greeting, counting, colours, animals, body parts and Hiragana (Japanese alphabet). They have learnt "Days of the week" and practiced a new song. They also learnt how to say "Can I please have ____?" and asked for different colour paper for Origami in Japanese.

All students worked really well through the year and we had fun together.
