Word of the Week

Each time a student uses our "Word of the Week" in the classroom they will be awarded a point and the student with the most points at the end of the term will receive a book to further expand their vocabulary.

 

We will publish our Word of the Week on Facebook and in the newsletter. Please support your child to use this word at home.

School Holidays

It is hard to believe that the 2023 school year is almost over and it will be time to take a well deserved break from regular school routine. 

Congratulations to our Year 6 students who have completed their primary education. Enjoy your secondary years and make the most of all the opportunities and learning experiences throughout your secondary education.

To the families who are moving away from Tamworth, thank you for being a part of our St Edward’s School community and enjoy your new adventures.

We wish all our St Edward’s families, staff and friends a beautiful, safe and Holy Christmas with your loved ones. Wishing you all things bright and wonderful and God’s special blessings for the new year. We look forward to another tremendous year at St Ed’s in 2024.  

 

School resumes for TEACHERS and SUPPORT STAFF on Tuesday 30th January 2024; and THURSDAY 1ST FEBRUARY 2024 for students in Years 1 - 6. 

The Kinder students have a Best Start Assessment during the first week and begin school full time on Thursday 8th February.

Back to School Supplies

It's never too early to begin getting ready for the new academic year. Please read the attached note which lists the essential stationery items that all students will need when they return in February 2024.

Year 6 Student School Report Advice for Parents and Carers - Important Information

Your Year 6 child's Compass Portal will close on the last day of this term, Friday 15th December. If your child is NOT attending a Catholic High School in 2024, we recommend that you download ALL school reports to your own device for future reference. You will not be able to access their Portal Page after the 15th December 2023. Semester Two reports will be open to parents on Thursday 8th December after 3.00pm. However you can download all current school reports any time now.

St Edward’s School Tamworth - 2024 Schedule of Fees & Levies

School fees PER TERM (Terms 1, 2 & 3 only) for 2024 are:  

·         1 child          $501.00

·         2 children    $901.80    (20% discount child 2)

·         3 or more children     $1152.30  (50% discount child 3)

 

School fees ANNUAL for 2024 are:

·         1 child                     $1503.00

·         2 children               $2705.40  (20% discount child 2)

·         3 or more children     $3456.90  (50% discount child 3)

 

2024 Sport & School Activity Levy per child is:

Primary Students             $70.00 per student

Infants Students               $50.00 per student

 

St Edward’s Sport & School Activity Levy (SASA Levy) covers the cost of sport activities and extracurricular activities that students participate in and is in addition to School Fees. 

One Talk at a Time

The National Office for Child Safety recently launched ‘One Talk at a Time’, a national awareness raising and behavioural change campaign on child sexual abuse. 

 

One Talk at a Time aims to protect children and young people from sexual abuse by helping adults understand that child sexual abuse is preventable and encouraging them to have ongoing, proactive, preventative conversations with children, young people and other adults in their lives. 

 

The campaign is a key measure under theNational Strategy to Prevent and Respond to Child Sexual Abuse 2021-2030 and fulfils a recommendation of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.   

2025 Kindergarten Enrolments - ENROL NOW

Applications for Kindergarten 2025 are NOW OPEN. Please contact the Infants Campus for an enrolment pack.  Enrolment Forms will not be processed until all supporting documents are received: Birth Certificate; Immunisation Certificate; Baptismal Certificate (only required if your child is baptised Catholic) and proof of student’s residential address. Please spread the word if you know of anyone with a child wishing to start at St Edward's School in Kindergarten in 2025.

Esteem Kids

Before school care is available in the Infants Hall for both Primary and Infants students.  It operates from 7:00am to 8:30am, Monday through Friday during term and breakfast is provided. 

After school care is available in the Infants Hall for Infants students only from 3:00pm to 6:00pm Monday through Friday.  PLEASE NOTE this year that after school care is now operating from the Primary Art Room for primary students only from 3:00pm to 6:00pm Monday through Friday.  Afternoon tea is provided.
