Graduating class of 2023

This week our graduating class of 2023 celebrated their time here at Holy Cross with a Graduation Mass at St Brigid’s on Tuesday night, followed by a dinner with their family back at school.

Thank you to Lisa and Pat for planning the Mass and preparing the children and to Rachelle who did an amazing job putting together a video of memories for them. Wendy also captured memories by taking family photos on the night, thank you Wendy.

We are very blessed to have so many families that generously give their time during such a busy time of year to transform our multipurpose room into an underwater world. We would like to thank our creative directors, Jen Feist and Brodie Hobbs, and a very special mention to Jen’s mum, Cheryl for sewing a sea of fish, dolphins, jellyfish, sharks and Walter the Whale! If you get a chance to come into the MPR over the next week, it is definitely worth a visit to see the creative talents of these wonderful ladies.

Of course there is also a mountain of volunteers that work behind the scenes painting, decorating, creating, finding treasures that all fit in with the theme and without them, it couldn’t happen. It has been a lovely tradition that the Year 5 parents help with the set up of Graduation and then have an insight into their own child’s graduation for the following year. Year 5 parents and staff also help on the night waiting on tables and assisting with the clean up, we are extremely grateful to have many hands helping make this a memorable night for the children and their families.

And of course our wonderful Year 6 children, we are so proud of the young people you have become. Our school captains, Maisy, Taylan, Priscilla and Jordan, delivered a moving reflection and send off for the Year 6 children.
