What's been happening this week?

EXPERTS OF THE PAST

The Year One and Two's were excited to interview "experts of the past" this week, as they learned about how life has changed since our visitors were at school. We had many confused faces as we heard words like "VCR", and "DVD", and particularly when we found out iPads weren't around years ago!

HOOPTIME

Congratulations to our 5/6 Hooptime Future Stars Regional finalists.  Whilst we didn't come away with the win, everyone had a great day and we are very proud of the achievement!

PREP FUN!

This week our Prep students enjoyed reflecting on the wonderful friendships fostered this year and thinking about making new friends in preparation for Year 1. (Yes we cannot believe it either that the year is coming to an end).

In Maths our students have enjoyed participating in hands on revision of topics, this weeks was patterns. Students collaboration in rotations to use different materials to create pattern and discuss their reasoning.

Our students have been working hard on finishing their puppet sets ready to practise and perform.

A big Thank You to all of our wonderful Prep Parent Helpers, Helen C, Jacinta S, Jane N and Masumi K!

AN ICY SITUATION

The 3/4 students are investigating solids and liquids as part of our science inquiry.  There was much fun seeing who could melt their ice cube the quickest.  Surfaces, friction and temperature were all hotly debated!
