Celebration Service

Devonport Christian School is excited to gather as a community for our 2023 Kinder to Year 7 Celebration Service.

Our Celebration Service will be held at the paranaple center, 6:30pm Wednesday 6th December.  Market Square will be available for families to bring a picnic and socialise from 5:00pm onwards. Doors to the paranaple centre will open at 6:00pm and students will need to be seated by 6:20pm.

Our Celebration Service is a wonderful evening where we have the opportunity to reflect on the past year, praise and worship God for His amazing goodness to our school and celebrate our students and staff. Students from Kinder through to Year 7 will be presenting on the night, either by video or live on stage.

Tickets are now available through our online booking system. They are selling fast - make sure to get yours before they are all gone!

To secure your tickets, please indicate on the online order form how many tickets you would like for your immediate family. This form will be the only way tickets can be secured. There is no cost for tickets, but as there is limited seating, a ticket will be required for entry to the paranaple centre. At this stage we are allowing families to reserve up to four tickets for the evening. 

Students in Kinder and Prep will gather in the Aberdeen Room on Level 2. From here they will move to the paranaple centre for their item and then back to the Aberdeen Room to watch the remainder of the evening on the screen. 

Please note - tickets are not required for current DCS students.

Some important information:

· Students from Kinder to Year 7 will be involved in the Celebration Service

· Students to be seated in the paranaple Centre by 6.20pm

· Students in Prep-Year 7 are to wear their formal school uniform with black school shoes (not white soles or markings on shoes please)

· Kinder students wear their sports uniform

Position Vacant - Facilities Team Member

We have a position available for a Facilities Team Member to join our amazing Facilities Team in 2024! The position is for up to three days per week, helping to maintain our facilities and keeping our grounds looking amazing! 

The review of applications will begin as soon as they are received and DCS reserves the right to close the selection process at any time if the right candidate is found.

This is a friendly reminder to families paying school fees by direct debit that the final direct debit for 2023 will be on Thursday 28th December.

The first direct debit payment for 2024 school fees will commence on Thursday 11th January 2024.

Sibling Enrolments 

Over the past 12 months we have experienced a large increase in enrolment enquiries, with enquiries coming through for Kinder right through to 2027!

If you are a current DCS family, and you have a younger sibling who will be commencing in 2025, 2026, 2027 or 2028, can we encourage you to jump on to our website and complete the 'Enquire today' section as soon as possible to add your child's name to our Application Register.

DCS School Farm Christmas Cards

Miss Shurley is once again selling Christmas cards featuring our DCS School animals.  All monies raised will go towards the cost of  the school farm. 

Prices are $4 each or 4 for $15.

There are five different designs to choose from, don't they look amazing?!

To purchase, simply complete an order form, which are available at the school office.

Cards are selling fast, so make sure to return your orders as soon as possible!

Basketball Tops

With the 2023 Spring basketball rosters coming to an end, please return all basketball tops to the school office as soon as possible.

Early Learning

At DCS we offer two fun and friendly Early Learning programmes.  Come along and connect with others over a delicious hot drink while your children play.  Please call the school office on 6423 1373 if you require further information.

Little Sprouts

Little Sprouts is a hands-on nature-based playgroup for children aged 3 and 4 years and is held every Thursday from 8:45am - 10:30am. Our final Little Sprouts for 2023 will be held on Thursday 7th December.

Jiloa Juniors

Jiloa Juniors is held every Friday from 8:45am - 10:45am and is for children from birth to 5 years with their carers. Our final Jiloa Juniors for 2023 will be held on Friday 8th December.
