Last week marked an exciting adventure for our Year 7 students as they embarked on a joint venture with their counterparts from Leighland Christian School. Our destination: the picturesque Ulverstone Beach. This surf carnival marked the second collaborative event of the year, reinforcing our commitment to building lasting friendships across our two Christian schools.
Underneath the sun and against the backdrop of low tide, our students enthusiastically engaged in a variety of activities that brought both joy and camaraderie. From swimming challenges to the tug-of-war, "Staying Alive" event and the friendly competition of flags, the day was filled with laughter, sportsmanship and the spirit of healthy competition.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Anita Handley from Leighland Christian School and Jack Harvey from DCS for their exceptional efforts in organising and orchestrating such a memorable day. Their dedication to creating an enjoyable, safe and inclusive event for our students did not go unnoticed, and we are immensely thankful!
These collaborative ventures not only provide our students with unique and enjoyable experiences but also contribute to the broader ethos of community and friendship that we strive to instill in their educational journey. As we continue to explore opportunities for joint activities with Leighland Christian School, we look forward to witnessing the growth of these connections and the positive impact they will undoubtedly have on our students' overall school experience.
