International Women's Day

On Friday the 7th of March, both the school captains, Micah and Georgia, went to Avila to celebrate International Women's Day. When we were there, a special guest speaker called Kala Gare, who is a very popular actor and excellent singer, came and was asked questions about her ups and downs, what she enjoyed most and how she dealt with the tough parts. Some of the musicals she performed in were Six, Macbeth, Rent, Twelfth night and more. We had to go to school at 7:00 o’clock in the morning for a delicious breakfast, waiting for the very special guest speaker. While we were waiting we ate breakfast and some Avila girls came around and handed us a purple ribbon for International Women’s day.
