Year 7 News

Vermont Secondary College

Five weeks into the first term and a lot of activity has been occurring in the year 7 cohort.

Major activities that we enjoyed included our swimming carnival on Wednesday 12th of February. Our year 7 students were keen and energetic. So many of our younger community members donned their swimming goggles and away they went, weaving and splashing and gliding through the waters of the Waverley swimming pool to place, in a range of events, accruing points for their house. We, your student managers thank you for your enthusiasm and participation.

On Thursday the 20th February a number of year 7 parents attend the Year 7 Information Night and met with our Principal Class members, as well as with us, your student managers. Thank you for taking the time to meet with us. We really did enjoy meeting with you and helping you navigate through the world of year 7, the expectations and learning pathways and opportunities available for your students at Vermont Secondary College. We hope that we were able to help with your queries.

Many of the questions of that night related to the upcoming year 7 camp. Camp Macedon, 24th Feb – 26th Feb kicked of the week of camping, followed by Camp Stirling/Hotham, 26th Feb – 28th Feb. We think we will let the photos do the talking!!!!
