Challenge and Enrichment

We have had a great start to the year with 26 of our Year 8 students currently participating in the Victorian High Ability Program (VHAP) in Term 1. In addition to this, a further 40 our Year 7 & 8 students have been selected by the Department of Education to undertake this program in Term 2.

High ability students at Vermont Secondary College are offered a range of opportunities to extend their learning and expand their horizons throughout the school year. We will advertise many of these opportunities in this section of the school newsletter. Parents and carers are also able to access a range of challenge and extension programs that run outside of school hours through DETs Arc Events Hub: https://arc.educationapps.vic.gov.au/channels/VCES
