Naplan is happening

The National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) has been running for our students at Ballarat High School. This program is an annual assessment that measures the literacy and numeracy skills of students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 across Australia.
We are pleased to share that NAPLAN has been running smoothly so far, with students engaging positively in their assessments. The program will continue until March 24th and we appreciate the effort and commitment our students have shown throughout the process.
NAPLAN is a crucial tool for collecting data on student performance in key subject areas. This data helps us identify areas where students may need additional support and informs our teaching practices and curriculum improvements.
It is important to note that NAPLAN is not a pass-or-fail test and there is no need for students to feel anxious or stressed about it. The results are used to enhance educational outcomes and provide valuable insights into how we can better support student learning.
As a parent, you can support your child during this time by encouraging them to do their best and reassuring them that their performance on NAPLAN does not define their intelligence.
We appreciate your support in making NAPLAN a valuable experience for our students. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us.
