2025 Annual VM Easter Raffle
Supporting Mental Health
Year 12 VM students at Ballarat High School have been working hard to make a difference! They’ve been busy gathering donations, creating amazing Easter hampers and selling raffle tickets at lunchtime—all to raise funds for men’s mental health.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our school community, the VM program has received some fantastic prizes for our raffle and we can’t wait to see who the lucky winners will be. The raffle will be drawn at the assembly on Wednesday 2nd April, so make sure that you grab your tickets before then for a chance to win.
This year will be the 4th year of this raffle. It began after the sad passing of a beloved staff member at our school in February 2022, James Petrie. James joined the Ballarat High School community as a teacher in 2012. VET Sport and Recreation, VCAL and Outdoor Education were particular passions of James’. He was a much loved, inspiring teacher who worked hard at engaging students and empowering them to reach their full potential. His passing touched many people's hearts and inspired students at Ballarat High School to spread awareness for mental health and give back to the community in his honour. The Year 12 VM students have continued this tradition, organising the Easter raffle each year to support the James Petrie Foundation. Their efforts not only raise important funds but also help keep James’ legacy alive, reminding us all of the impact he had on our school and the importance of mental health awareness.
Every ticket sold helps us support this important cause, raising awareness and funds for men’s mental health. Thank you to everyone who has contributed - whether it be by donating eggs, purchasing raffle tickets or even just spreading the word - your support means the world to our school and our community.
Raffle tickets are priced individually at $2 each, 3 for $5 and 7 for $10. A raffle link also allows you to purchase tickets for this amazing raffle. Let’s make a difference together!
