Bunnings incursion
Lyn from Frankston Bunnings helped the children decorate plant pots with stickers, add soil to the pot, and then plant a flower seedling. The children sprayed their plants with water, and added name labels to the pots.
Teddy Bears’ Picnic
The children paraded their toys around the classroom whilst listening to some teddy-bear-themed music. They took their toys outside for a Teddy Bears' Olympics. We read "Brian the Bear Smells Something Smelly" by Mark Chambers. The children ate their snack on a picnic mat with their stuffed toys, and engaged in a group sorting activity, to sort small teddy bears by color.

ELC Family Picnic
It was terrific to have the ELC family picnic last week on the oval mixing with each other as a community. What a fabulous afternoon! There were some children playing cricket, running around the oval, visiting the goats, playing footy and enjoying delicious food with their families. Thank you to those families who came along and to Mr Justin Mason who helped provide speakers for some background music. The feedback from the families and staff have been incredible so we will plan another one later in the year.
First Excursion
Whilst the rest of the College were at home for the curriculum day, the children from the ELC ventured out excitedly to become more familiar with the school grounds. We walked around the South campus, visited the outdoor basketball courts, the library, the chickens and had a quiet and enjoyable morning tea at the oval. The children did so well staying together and following instructions. Thank you to our parent volunteers who came along to support our first outing.
