The 2025 Green Team wants to continue and expand our involvement in the Container Deposit Scheme (CDS), begun last year at the fete. At the 2024 NPS fete, we collected over 1000 uncrushed cans and bottles, raising over $100.

This year, we are aiming to collect 3000 cans and bottles, which will raise $300 to put towards environmental ideas for our school.

We need your help. At the fete, every time you drink a can of soft drink or bottled drink, please DON’T CRUSH THE CONTAINER. Instead, place it in one of the many labelled bins that will be placed around the school.

Also, please encourage your parents, family and friends to place their cans in the bins too. MAKE SURE THEY DON’T CRUSH THE CANS because the barcode needs to be scanned at the recycling centre.
