444 Run-Wear Blue

Friday March 7 our St Mary’s Community is invited to wear blue in support of Ben Welch and his mission to run from Mildura to Echuca (Mino’s Mission). Ben aims to finish his run on March 7, a date marking the 10 year anniversary for when he lost his older brother, Jai, father of our current Year 5 learner Harper, in a tragic ski racing accident. Ben also experienced the loss of another brother, Zac to suicide. Since then, Ben has initiated the Blue Tree found along Warren Street and is now embarking on completing 9 marathons in 4 days. To show our support and encourage our community to look out for our friends and speak to someone when we are not feeling well, St Mary’s wil wear blue on Friday March 7.

 We will hear from Harper at our upcoming assembly on Monday.
