On Wednesday 26th March, we will be conducting our school Cross Country Trials at
Peace Park for students who are turning 8 years old in 2025 or older. These trials will result in students being selected to compete at the Conference 2 Cross Country Championships in Term 2.
The distance required for each age group are as follows:
2km Course: 8/9 years boys/girls, 10 years boys/girls
3km Course: 11 years boys/girls, 12/13 years boys/girls
If your child is able to confidently run the distance for their age group and would like to participate in these trials, please complete the Compass permission form that has been sent out this week. Further information about the trials can be found on Compass.
This year, we will also be hosting a fun and non-competitive K-2 Cross Country on the Primary Playground on Tuesday 1st April at 8:20am. This is a great opportunity for students who are thinking about nominating themselves for the competitive trials next year, as well as promoting whole school participation in sporting events. More information about this event will be released in the coming weeks.
We look forward to seeing many of our students participating in these upcoming events.
A reminder that we will be providing opportunities for Stage 3 students to represent our
school at Representative Sport Pathway Trials in 2025. These events are for students who:
These trials are not come and try activities for the students - they must have substantial experience competing in the sport. Please find below the list and dates of the remaining Representative Pathway Sport Trials for 2025. As there are only a limited number of students that can attend these trials in each sport, some sports may require a trial at school prior to select representatives. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
