National Ride2School DayÂ
Friday 21st MarchÂ
đ´đśââď¸đ˛
Â
Over the past 40 years the number of children who are physically active everyday has significantly dropped. In the 1970s, eight out of ten students rode or walked to school but today that number has dropped to just two out of ten.
Â
National Ride2School Day is Australiaâs biggest celebration of active travel. Our children are encouraged to ride, walk, skate or scoot to school on the day. We participated in the program last year and we are one of 18 Darebin schools participating this year.
Â
Participants have a chance a of winning a bike bell, a bike lock, water bottles and maps to be awarded on the day.Â
Â
Put Friday 21st March in your diary now.
Â
Happy walking and wheeling!
