What's been happening this week?

HARMONY DAY PREPARATIONS

EAL students prepared a big poster for Harmony Week celebration.  We learnt some words related harmony.  There were grade 3, 4 and 5 EAL students worked together to complete the task.  Everyone learnt to share the resources, accept differences, and listening to the leaders.  In the end, everyone was so proud of what we achieved.  We all look forward to the special cultural diversity lunch order next Thursday.

HAPPY CAMPERS

Our campers are having a great experience at Portsea.  Yesterday was hot and sunny and some groups got to go kayaking.  We also had high ropes, flying fox, giant swing and a pier walk.  We finished the night with some stargazing and gratitude reflections.  Today there has been some rain but nothing to stop us going ahead with activities.  The kayaking was changed to boogie boards as it was a more suitable activity for the conditions.  Students have been fantastic and are looking after themselves and each other.

GALA DAY TRAINING

We have been very active in Phys.Ed this week. Students have been practising our Newcombe and Ultimate Frisbee sports for Gala Day, and have been training hard for the upcoming school cross country!
