Regional Championships
On October 17, Evie and I competed in the Regional Athletics Championships.
Unfortunately, we did not make it to the State Championships but had an amazing time competing. I came fourth in both the 100 metre sprint and 80 metre hurdle in the 12/13 girls age group and Evie came 10th for Triple Jump in the 9/10 girls age group.

On Tuesday 17 October, I went to Regionals in Athletics for the first time.
There were only two people in the whole school that went! The two people were me and Charlotte in Year Six.
It was scary but I was very excited and nervous about it. I went for Triple Jump with a lot of other girls from other schools. I didn't know any of them but I did make friends with a girl
called Maisy. She was very nice and congratulated me on every jump.
I soon learnt that she was a triple jump champion because she got 8.54! My best was 6.95 which was a PB. There were three jumps each and you got to choose what line you jumped from. Line 3 is one, line 4 is two, line 5 is three, line six is 4 and so on.
I jumped from line 5 and line 6.
Then it was time for the results. My friend Maisy came first with her amazing jump.
I ended up coming tenth which is still really good and I got a PB.
So in the end I was really happy.
