Learning and Teaching
` Year 5 Camp, 2023
The support for the Sports Day and Colour Run has simply been .... well ........ inspiring.
I have visited each class and explained how the funds raised will help establish our STEM learning space for 2024 and beyond.
STEM will replace Digital Technologies as a specialist subject from next year. STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four disciplines - science, technology, engineering and mathematics, however, in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. STEM integrates them into a cohesive learning environment based on real-world applications and situations. It teaches students to use thinking skills to help solve problems.
As I explained to the students, the opportunities are endless as we work together to not only redevelop the space but build our equipment and resources. Some ideas thus far have included a LEGO Wall, Makey-Makeys, building tools and microscopes. I encourage students (and families) who have ideas to drop a note into the letterbox in my office!

The students are very excited about the upcoming Book Fair!
All classes have previewed the products and created their wish list!!
I'm sure some parents would've had a chuckle seeing how many items some students had listed!!
If you opt to purchase online, please ensure that you have accurately recorded your receipt number on the order slip. Then send it back to school! Once I receive it from your child, he/she will receive the item/s!
Please don't hesitate to visit the Book Fair before or after school from next Monday through to Friday, November 3rd.
The Book Fair will be open all morning next Monday so that our Grandparents and special friends can also visit!
EFTPOS payments are accepted as well as cash.
Thanks for your ongoing support.
