1/2B is the best place to be!

Busy Learning Bees in Term 4

Wow, how time flies by and now we are already half way through Term 4. In 1/2B this term we have been very busy learning lots of new things and practicing our skills so we are ready for next year.

In Wellbeing we have been working on teamwork and communication. To do this we have been completing lots of team challenges and activities that encourage us to work together and show good sportsmanship. The photos below are from a water challenge , where we had to work as a team to carry water on a spoon down a line of people and put it in a cup. Also a shoe challenge where we had to build the tallest free standing tower with 4 pairs of shoes.  Additionally, we worked in teams to move a hula hoop around a circle of people as quickly as we could without letting go.

Some thing we learnt from these activities:

Aria: “Help each other.”

Mason CP: “Be kind to each other in your team.”

Alkis: “Don’t yell at others.”

Alice: “Give encouragement and helpful words.“

In Inquiry this term, we have been discovering what the terms ‘Luminous’ and ‘Non Luminous' mean.

Hayden : “Luminous means something bright”

Isla: “Luminous means it gives off light”

Arshita: “Non Luminous is something that is doesn’t give off light”

Mason P: “Non luminous means not shining bright.”

In the photos below we are discovering how light can affect the visibility of objects.

In Religion we have been learning about stories from the Bible. Both from the Old and New testament and what we can learn from them, and apply in our lives today.

George: “The Old Testament is stories about God and his people.”

Evie: “The New Testament is all about Jesus and his disciples.”
