WILD Program 

 

The WILD program is a bush adventure therapy program which is designed to give students the opportunity to challenge themselves both individually and as a community, have a safe physical and emotional space and to share experiences together while building new skills.

Students will participate in a range of challenges with WILD staff and PRC staff over the course of 3 months including orienteering, bushwalking, abseiling, paddle boarding, creek walking and caving.

Once the program has been completed students will have the opportunity to celebrate their achievements and experience with their families, friends and support people.

 

 

RAGE Program

 

RAGE (RE-NAVIGATING ANGER AND GUILTY EMOTIONS) program has been approved for Plenty River College. RAGE is a course designed for adolescents. It is a strength based, solution focused program that is hands on, practical and fun. 

The first session commences on 23rd of October and will run in term four as a 6-week program. 

It is an opportunity for students to understand that anger is a normal emotion that everyone has and individuals can be taught strategies in how to express it in a way that does not cause harm to themselves or others.  

This program is being run through the facilitators at Innovation Youth in Bundoora.  

The 6 weeks program covers a variety of sessions including: 

  • Standing Strong and The Many Faces of Anger  
  • Rock and Water the 4 T's Anger  
  • Rock and Water in The Schoolyard 
  • Healthy Expression of Anger  
  • Personal Contact and Breathing Strength / Getting Through Guilt of Anger  
  • Body Language, Boundaries, and Intuition  
  • Summary and reflection of the program 

This program is designed to build resilience, respectful relationships and continue to develop strategies to support students further with their emotional regulation at school and in their personal life.
