Principal's Message

It is hard to believe that we are in our 6th week of the term and about 4 weeks to the end of the semester. Time goes quick when one is busy.

Since our last newsletter, it is fantastic to see the students not only excelling in their academic pursuits but also actively engaging in diverse experiences that contribute to their holistic development. The WILD program which is a bush adventure therapy program, and RAGE (RE-NAVIGATING ANGER AND GUILTY EMOTIONS) - a strength based, solution focused program that is focused on understanding how anger manifests in our bodies. The Riverside Community Centre's 'Love Where You Live' Project is a beautiful way for our students to connect with and appreciate the local community. The Real Industry Job Interview (RIJI) which consists of a face-to-face interview with a volunteer employer and Reclink where they engage in a diverse range of activities that foster their personal growth and development.

Kudos to the students for embracing these opportunities and challenges.

The newsletter provides a comprehensive insight into each of these programs.

We have 4 students graduating this year with Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) and 3 students with VCE Vocational Major (VM). Teachers have worked very hard to have their graduating students complete set curriculum to meet outcomes and finalise Units. Many students have also worked hard to get over the line in many subjects even though they are not graduating this year. Please come and join us on 1st December at 6pm to celebrate these great achievements and other awards.

This being our last newsletter of the year, I wish to thank you all, especially the parents/guardians for entrusting us with your young person.

We wish you all a joyous holiday season and a promising new year ahead.
