Season of Remembrance and Reflection

As we embark on the sacred journey of November, we are reminded of the profound significance of the 1st and 2nd of this month in our Catholic calendar.

On 1 November, we come together to celebrate All Saints Day. This day is a radiant reminder of the countless individuals who, through their faith and devotion, have illuminated the world with their goodness and love. These saints are the beacons of hope, showing us the way toward a more virtuous and compassionate life. As we honour their memory, we are inspired to follow their examples, shining our own light into the world.

On 2 November, All Souls Day, we come together in a spirit of unity and remembrance. It is a time when we acknowledge that we are all children of God, bound together by a common divine thread. We reflect on the lives of our loved ones who have departed from this earthly existence, knowing that they live on in the embrace of our loving Creator. In this solemn moment, we find solace in the belief that death is not an end but a transition to a place of eternal love and peace. As we observe All Souls Day, let us hold in our hearts the memory of those we have lost and cherish the moments we shared with them.

In this season of remembrance and reflection, may the light of the saints guide us, and may the promise of everlasting life fill us with hope and peace.

In 2024, the Junior School will have iPads instead of Surface Pros for students. With iPads, we're fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment where creativity, critical thinking, and digital literacy flourish. Our students will have access to a treasure trove of educational apps, interactive resources, and collaborative tools that will expand their horizons and spark their curiosity.

Furthermore, iPads will enable us to instil essential digital citizenship skills in our students. We can teach them responsible and ethical use of technology, ensuring they become not just consumers but also responsible producers of digital content.

As we embark on this exciting new chapter, we look forward to witnessing our students' growth, innovation, and success with iPads as their trusted companions in the pursuit of knowledge. We believe that these devices will empower them to achieve their full potential and become well-rounded, tech-savvy individuals, prepared for the challenges and opportunities of the future.

The future is bright, and with iPads, our Junior School is taking a significant step forward to provide our students with the best tools for learning, personal growth, and success. We can't wait to see the remarkable achievements that lie ahead.

I have been deeply moved this week by the incredible kindness and generosity that emanate from our Junior School Community, particularly from our parent community. It is a heartwarming reminder of the goodness that surrounds us and the wonderful sense of unity that defines our school.
