GYM upgrade

We continue to complete renovations in the GYM. We have recently fitted a new kitchen, cleaned and polished the Gym floor and painted the foyer area. More photos to follow in the next newsletter.

Happy World Teachers’ Day- Friday 27th October

Next Friday is World Teacher’s Day. Thank you to all the HEPS teachers and teachers around the world who work so hard every day to provide the best education for all our students.

Teaching Staff Professional Practice Days 

Over the next 3-4 weeks, as per Department of Education and Training guidelines, our teaching staff will be undertaking Professional Practice days. Professional Practice days provide teachers with release from their scheduled duties (all duties which would have been otherwise scheduled, including teaching) to focus on the improved delivery of high-quality teaching and learning.

The work undertaken on these days will be consistent with Departmental and school priorities and selected from the following areas:

• Planning
• Preparation
• assessment of student learning
• collaboration
• curriculum development
• relevant professional development
• peer observation including feedback and reflection.

Also, a reminder that Monday 6th November is a Report Writing Day (Curriculum Day) for our teachers. No students are required on-site on this day.
