After months of planning, preparation, and excitement our production days finally arrived. Monday morning staff and students braved the wind and rain to board buses and head to our whole school excursion to the Besen Centre for a full-dress rehearsal. There was an increased sense of confidence amongst staff and students being the second year of a whole school production.

And then there were the night time performances… Both nights were incredible! Our students are to be congratulated on the effort they put into show casing their learning. It is also important to acknowledge our staff who have dedicated their time and enthusiasm to ensuring the night was a success. Thank you to you all, and Emma Austin who has spent countless hours working on  logistics behind the event.

Thank you also to the community who supported this event. Over 50 families were involved at some stage with a dedicated weekly group working on props with Becky Hayes and other aspects of the production.  Thank you to George, Anna and Emma Sarris, Amanda Wilkinson, Amanda Edgely and Alice Barry, Chandani, Subodha and Aritha Wanasundera, Jamie and Claire Greenup, James Rees, Matt Barnes and Lachlan Outhred. We appreciate your support.

We would also like to thank the Paten family who have kindly donated five tv's to our school. We will use these for explicit teaching of students and for staff collective planning. We do appreciate the generous donation.

This week we will have our first meeting to begin the planning for our capital works project. We are excited to be working with architects Atelier Wagner. At this stage I do not have any information regarding what the project will encompass. I will be keeping the community informed as we move forward with the project.
