School Wide Positive Behaviour Support
What a year we've had with School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) at Hamlyn Views School.
Some highlights of the year:
- Students earning Monty Dollars by demonstrating the values of our school. There have been some wonderful items in the shop that have been purchased by the school or donated by generous members of the wider school community. Thank you to Deanne Pocock for the ongoing support and donations to the Monty Shop.
- New equipment for students to engage in during play and break times. Students have used new scooters and music systems to engage in, which has supported positive behaviours across the school. Over the Summer holidays, the school will also be getting fun and engaging line markings in all of the yards across the school, which students can use to support their learning, as well as to encourage active play and engagement.
- Staff continuing to use SWPBS practices each and every day they teach at Hamlyn Views School. We find that when we spend lots of time acknowledging and praising positive behaviours, this is beneficial for improving behaviour across the school.
