Dear Reservoir High School Community,
In the crisp October air, we have embarked on a month filled with cherished moments and an extraordinary celebration of the journey taken by our remarkable Year 12 students. With a flurry of emotions, academic achievements, and spectacular performances, this month has been a tapestry of unforgettable experiences. Let's delve into the highlights that have defined the Senior School in October:
Farewell Assembly - A Touching Tribute to Our Graduates
Without a doubt, one of the highlights of the month was the Year 12 farewell assembly where the entire school united to bid a heartfelt farewell to our Year 12 students. The Farewell Assembly was a poignant event that brought the entire school community together to celebrate the accomplishments and personal growth of these young individuals. The assembly was a tribute to the experiences, friendships, and wisdom these students have acquired during their high school journey. It was a reminder of the transformative power of education and the bonds we form in these formative years. A huge shout out to Amelie Brown and Kaitlyn McCleary for organising the video montage for the year level. It was phenomenal.
Graduation Evening - A Night of Elegance and Achievement
On a splendid evening, the Performing Arts Center (PAC) was the backdrop for our Graduation Evening, where parents, family members, and friends gathered to honour our Year 12 students. The atmosphere was filled with pride, as each student was presented with their High School Certificate. It was a defining moment, a testament to their hard work and dedication, and a recognition of the support they received from their families and the school. As they took their steps across the stage, it was clear that they were ready to embrace the new adventures that lay ahead. The night ended with a trip down memory lane as everyone nostalgically watched the graduates in their Year 7 camp video which was a hit with students, parents and staff alike.
Celebration Day - Where Creativity and Fun Collide
Celebration Day was a whirlwind of excitement and joy, showcasing the vibrant spirit of our Senior School community. Students and staff came together for a day of exhilarating activities, fostering camaraderie and school spirit. The fashion parade took centre stage, featuring the Smurfs, the Mystery Gang, and a myriad of creative outfits. It was a kaleidoscope of colors, a reflection of our students' individuality and the incredible friendships they've formed over the years.
A Tribute Fit for a Legend - Remembering Freddy Mercury
The grand finale of Celebration Day was a sensational tribute to the iconic Freddy Mercury. School captain Aidan Grigoletto put on a performance that was nothing short of extraordinary. With his remarkable musical talents, he captured the essence of Mercury's showmanship, leaving the audience in awe. The thunderous applause that followed was a testament to the talent and dedication of our students.
As October draws to a close, we eagerly look ahead to the upcoming end-of-year exams, where our students will demonstrate their dedication and commitment to their education. It's a time for our Year 12s to apply the knowledge and skills they've acquired throughout their high school journey, setting the stage for their future endeavours.
We extend our gratitude to all the parents, teachers, staff, and students who contributed to the success of these events. The Senior School at Reservoir High School remains a vibrant and supportive community, and it is through your collective efforts that we continue to thrive.
As we move into the final months of the year, let's celebrate the accomplishments of our students and anticipate the promising future that awaits them.
Warm regards,
