Junior School News
Whilst 2023 is closing down on us at a rapid pace a lot of preparation has already taken place to ensure a smooth start to 2024. All Year 7 & 8 students have completed their 2023 subject selections and will receive their booklists and important information concerning classes for next year in coming weeks. Year 8 students received their Yr 9 electives this week.
A reminder to all parents that mid Term 4 Interim reports will be available on compass when this newsletter goes live. We strongly encourage all parents and guardians to thoroughly read your child’s progress report. If you have any queries or cannot access Compass please contact Ms Baines in the Junior School.

It was an incredible show and we are very proud of all the students and staff for their resilience, dedication, commitment and perseverance to put on an outstanding show!!! Congratulations all.
Start of Term 4 Assemblies / Launch of SWPB (School Wide Positive Behaviour Matrix)
In the first two weeks of Term 4, both Year 7 and 8 cohorts had year level assemblies and performances to launch our School Wide Positive Behaviour Matrix. All staff and students have had input into this over the course of the year and we now have officially launched it with staff and students. All Year 7 & 8 students have been working through it in Impact this term.
Junior Sport
Recently Sonali Reniguntala in Year 7 competed in the State School Victorian Athletics Championship at Lakeside, Albert Park. Sonali finished 4th in the 12-13 Girls Discus and 5th in the 12-13 Girls Javelin. Congratulations Sonali on this fantastic achievement.
RAISE Mentoring Graduation
This week saw Reservoir High School’s first RAISE Mentoring Graduation with 14 year 8 students successfully completing the program. RAISE Mentoring has been a 20 week program with a small group of Year 8 students receiving 1 on 1 mentoring from a member of the public who has donated their time to talk to, listen to and just get to know a Reservoir student. Ms Watmough, Mr Irvin and Ms Lawless attended the Graduation and were immensely impressed with the relationships that had formed between the students and the mentors. Everyone spoke of their nervousness at the beginning then of the great bond that had formed over topics from Minecraft to Reading to Sports. It is hoped the program will run again in 2024 with a new group of year 8 students.
Year 7 IMAX Excursion
The entire Year 7 cohort went to watch the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse film. We had to all get to school on time so everyone could attend. We took the tram. It was quite a long trip but it was still worth watching the film. When we got there a nice lady came and stated a few rules that we all had to follow in the movie theatre. After we watched the movie everyone got to buy something from 7/11. Everyone was really happy but tired. Everyone had a pretty good day and we’d like to thank all the English teachers for organising such a fun day out. From Rama Imami 7C
