Year 9 Advance Camp at Torquay

 Advance Coordinator News

Year 9 Advance Camp at Torquay was great experience for students working towards their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award as part of their ‘qualifying journey’.

Students participated in a range of team building activities, including hiking, high ropes and games over the three days. Students learnt about responsibility and to be independent where they had to cook all meals for their groups.

Day 1 was spent hiking through the Brisbane Ranges National Park and a beach walk along the Torquay foreshore. Day two students participated through the rain along the Coastal walk, before venturing to Lorne for high ropes and a waterfall hike. Day 3 students packed up and spent the morning playing beach games before returning home.

All students passed with flying colours, great work Advance crew!!
